Sprawdzian ustny: pytania otwarte

Format egzaminu
Egzamin polega na ustnej odpowiedzi na jedno pytanie wylosowane z listy 20 pytań otwartych przedstawionej poniżej. Pytania obejmują materiał omówiony na zajęciach 1–4: globalizację i handel międzynarodowy, strategię i strukturę organizacyjną, etykę i przywództwo oraz finanse, zarządzanie ludźmi i innowacje.
Każdy student ma przydzielony 5-minutowy slot: do około 4 minut na odpowiedź oraz maksymalnie minutę na uporządkowanie myśli po wylosowaniu pytania. Sama odpowiedź powinna trwać 3–5 minut.
Pytania są krótkie, ale tak sformułowane, by naturalnie skłaniały do użycia struktur gramatycznych i słownictwa biznesowego z lekcji 1–4: czasów z rodziny present perfect, trybów warunkowych (zerowego do trzeciego, z inwersją), czasowników modalnych, mowy zależnej i strony biernej. Oczekuje się, że odpowiedź będzie ilustrowana konkretnymi przykładami firm, sektorów lub scenariuszy oraz uporządkowana za pomocą sygnałów dyskursywnych (however, consequently, clearly), hedgingu (it seems likely that…) i fraz dyplomatycznych.

Lekcja 1: Globalizacja i handel międzynarodowy
1. How has globalisation changed international trade since the 1990s? Who has gained, and who has lost?
2. What would happen if a major economy raised tariffs sharply on a key trading partner?
3. How would the world economy look today if the WTO had never been founded?
4. A company is choosing between FDI, a joint venture, and outsourcing to enter a new market. Which would you recommend, and where will it be in ten years’ time?
5. Which trends in global trade have been reshaping the world over the past decade, and where are they heading?
Lekcja 2: Strategia i struktura organizacyjna
6. A mid-sized firm wants to switch from cost leadership to niche differentiation. What would change, and why?
7. Which organisational structure would suit a fast-growing tech firm operating in three regions, and why?
8. What does disruptive innovation mean, and how would your industry have responded if a new entrant had disrupted it five years ago?
9. A start-up has just secured venture capital and is eyeing acquisitions. What are the risks, and how could the founders manage them?
10. How does a company build brand equity, and what will a strong brand have achieved for it ten years from now?
Lekcja 3: Etyka i przywództwo
11. A senior manager finds themselves in a conflict of interest. What should they do — and what should they have done earlier?
12. When would a visionary, coaching, or commanding leadership style work best, and when would each one cause harm?
13. A whistleblower exposes financial irregularities. How should an ethical leader respond, and what might happen if they don’t?
14. Think of a corporate scandal you know about. What should the board have done differently?
15. Why have CSR and sustainability become central to corporate strategy? What would happen to a company that ignored them?
Lekcja 4: Finanse, ludzie i innowacje
16. What is the difference between the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement? What would strong profits but weak cash flow tell you?
17. How can a company reduce churn and improve retention? What role do onboarding, upskilling, and performance reviews play?
18. A leading engineer has just resigned, citing burnout. What did she tell HR, and what should the company have done differently?
19. Compare first-mover advantage and the fast-follower strategy. What would a shorter time-to-market mean for a start-up?
20. A company is restructuring: some roles will be made redundant, others reskilled. How should this be communicated, and what support will be offered?
Organizacja sesji
Egzaminy odbywają się online w Google Meet. Każda grupa ma dwa terminy — pierwszą część w maju, drugą (krótszą) w czerwcu. Studenci uszeregowani są alfabetycznie według nazwiska.
Daty i godziny:
- Grupa C1 — niedziela, 17 maja 2026, 10:50–12:19 (studenci 1–13) oraz niedziela, 7 czerwca 2026, 10:50–11:44 (studenci 14–21).
- Grupa C2 — niedziela, 17 maja 2026, 13:40–15:30 (studenci 1–16) oraz niedziela, 7 czerwca 2026, 13:40–14:27 (studenci 17–23).
Między slotami przewidziane są dwie minuty bufora na przełączenie pokoju Google Meet — te dwie minuty nie są wliczone w czasy w harmonogramie.
Harmonogram będzie ściśle przestrzegany — każdy student zostaje przyjęty wyłącznie w swoim slocie, a wymiana slotów między studentami nie jest możliwa. Zaloguj się do swojego pokoju Google Meet co najmniej 5 minut przed swoim slotem, aby uniknąć opóźnień. Jeśli spóźnisz się o więcej niż 3 minuty, twój slot przepada.
Linki do pokoi Google Meet zostaną przesłane indywidualnie przed terminem egzaminu.
